New Echidna Treat a Success!

After 20 years of research, scientists at the ERM have succeeded in creating a new health snack for echidnas. The treat, currently called "echidna-munch" (or "munch" for short) looks similar to a braided bagel, and smells like one too. But this is no bagel. The ingredients list for munch was released this morning, and includes items like Zaglossus bartoni extract, dried grass, putrified ant brains, and small amounts of sugar water.

The clinical trials of munch have seemed to show promising results. Of the 300 echidnas given the snack, only 200 died from indigestion. With a little more work, munch will be ready to distribute to the wild echidna population. Scientists hope that the snack will boost health and happiness-- only time (and maybe a few good lawyers) will tell if these goals are achieved.
